Corpura develops and manufactures innovative, hydrophilic polyurethane foams. These foams have absolutely promising properties, also for your field of application! Corpura is located in the heart of Europe. The young company invested in a new, state of the art production site in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands. Corpura developed a comprehensive range of products: Vivo for medical use Cosmo for cosmetics Senso for soft touch Lento for sound and shock absorption applications In addition, Corpura seeks to find tailormade solutions and aims to serve the industry as a contract manufacturer. To garantee the high product requirements, we are aiming to organise the production according to ISO 13485. The foams can be tailored to be dense and stiff or to be soft and flexible, to be hydrophilic or rather hydrophobic. The most hydrophilic foams absorb and retain more than 20 times their own weight. Most qualities have a very fine cell structure and a sensual feel and touch. Characterized by a very pure chemical formula, they are appropriate for skin contact applications, as there are in the medical, cosmetic and comfort sector. Moreover, it is possible to incorporate active ingredients into the foam during the manufacturing process. Corpura's main strengths are -not at least- our in depth knowledge of polyurethane foam chemistry. We have a research and quality lab on the spot and additionally we can benefit from the expertise and the polyurethane competence of our mother company Recticel, a key player in this area. Corpura will be your loyal and dedicated partner in your product development process. The VIVO medical foams are suitable for the use in medical devices, class II. The foams are ideal for advanced woundcare. They absorb wound exsudate, but guarantee a moist wound environment. Fluid capacity varies between 15 and 20 gram per gram product. These medical foams are non-linting, do not stick into the wound, have a cushioning effect and show high bendability, allowing easy fixing of the dressing to rounded body shapes. Active ingredients as antibacterial agents, healing factors, pain relief drug or botanical extracts, can be incorporated and slowly released. The Vivo foams are carefully screened. Raw materials are beforehand selected, based on their non-toxicity. The foams are designed to be in contact with breached skin and body fluids. No monomers or side products are left into the foam. Biocompatibility tests, according to ISO 10993, are carried out. The foams can be sterilized, either with ethyleneoxide, gamma or beta irradiation. Antibacterial and antifungal foam � Vivo B05: based on a silverglass ingredient � Vivo X : based on a quaternary ammonium salt Silver salt solution or silver based creams are quickly desactivated due to oxidation by visual light and need to be applied frequently. This can be simplyfied by incorporating the silver component into a foam matrix. The large foam surface garantees a high contact area and high efficiency of the product. The silver foams release silver ions, which kills bacteria in the foam environment. In contrast, Vivo X absorbs bacteria in solution into the foam, where chemically bonded quaternary ammonium compounds disturb the bacteria cell wall. The bacteria debris is removed together with the foam pad. Quaternary ammonium salts are known to cause some skin irritation or allergy. However, due to the covalent bond this problem does not occur. The COSMO foams are initially developed as a alternative for latex foams, due to the growing occurrence of latex allergies. The cosmetic foams are ideally for the removal and application of make-up. They have a similar soft touch to latex. They have a high density, resulting in a good pad grip and an ultimate fine cell structure for smooth and homogeneous application of powders, creams and lotions. In addition, a coarse celled foam was developed to be used as a bath sponge. This quality shows a natural sponge structure. It can be cut or moulded in all kind of trendy forms and is great fun for kids because of the extreme swell. All foam grades can be coloured according to your wish, following f.i. the decorative colour trends of eye shadow and lipsticks. Incorporated perfumes on a flowery base or just on an aqueous base will support the image of your brand. Moreover, we are able to incorporate active ingredients for skincare: mild cleansing agents, moisturizers, UV-absorbers, but also botanical extracts and modified vitamins. These are released to the skin when the make-up pad is wetted.
